To a lesser degree on the right hand, but the top half of my palm and my fingers on my left hand are swollen itchy and red.

I get that as an allergic reaction if I have not used my antihistamines regularly. Took me forever to figure out is was an allergic reaction to environmental allergens (dust, pollen, ...)

It could be an allergic reaction to a soap you are using on your hands or something else you are touching. Or maybe you aren't rinsing the soap off well enough and are getting a reaction from that. Try switching to a mild, hypoallergenic, perfume-free soap and lotion. See if that helps.
