Get to the doctor....You have done some damage to the leg...You may have chipped the bone or done damage to the foot....Ice or heat will not help...I know where you are as I live with a damaged knee and a foot that gives me a lot of pain after breaking it years ago....It swells like the devil...

The best thing I can tell you is to raise it when you are sitting...Get off of it when you can....But seek help....The swelling is telling you that you are on it too much and it is hurting...

Good luck,
Caroline

If you have been checked over and have this condition, then do what he tells you...I believe it can be remedied with good shoes and the proper exercise...Do what he tells you, as I am sure that he is telling you these things to help you...

When the pain gets bad, which it does with me and I am sure you too, try and think of someone that has it so much worse than I do.....This always helps me.....I wish you well...

Take care,
Caroline
