Hi,

I recently (mid March) suffered a miscarraige at 11 weeks. When it all started A&E referred me to the gynae ward of the hospital who then used a smear type device to check my cervix (loose at this time). They then took 3 (i think) internal swabs? I didnt think to ask at the time what they were for & wasnt told either so now am wanting to know! Has anyone come across this in their own experiences & know what they were taking them to test for??
I hope there was no infection as i havent heard anything, & its over a month now since it happened so thinking if anything was wrong i'd know by now?! (Also at the follow up appointment 2 weeks after the m/c they advised the blood taken from me showed no signs of infection - again what infections do they check for?!) I'm so worried incase somethings wrong & caused my m/c!

Look forward to your replies
Thanks
