I am two weeks post op from a total hystorectomy and began bleeding profusely. I did nothing but rest and had no sex. I was admitted into the hospital for a procedure to investigate the cause. A transfusion was given prior to procedure. The doctor reported that upon entrance into the site he saw no stitches and the tissue that had been previously stitched was mushy. There was also a gaping whole and bleeding into the cavity of my stomach. He had to use the tissue farther away from the site to secure the stitches with a stronger thread. In addition, he left packing there to secure the stitches. However, I still see the pinkish drainage on my pad and when I wipe. If these stitches don't hold what is an alternative?
