Q: Surgical abortion follow up

For those of you that have had a surgical, what did they do at the follow-up appointment? Do they do another ultrasound, a physical exam, or just ask you questions?

I do not live near the clinic I used and was wondering if I could ask my own doctor do a follow-up.

Hi
Not sure if I can help. I have a follow up tomorrow for stitches to be taken out. I would think it would be fine for you to see your physican you have where you are now. Let him get all necessary paperwork from what you had done during surgery (he can have this faxed to him). I would think, they were just checking incision, making sure you were doing ok. Not having any problems! Hope this has helped!

YES, you can see your own OBGYN for a follow up Smile

They basically ask you how you are doing, and do a preganncy test to see how much hormones are left in your system.

Fairygodmother- No incisions are needed for an abortion Smile

No cutting or scraping Smile

It is a really easy low impact procedure.

So sorry
Carifairy, forgive me, I did not even look at the forum title....I just feel the need to answer questions for people sometimes, if I think I can! Especially if they have posted and no one has even gone in to say hello! I'll try to make my old self pay more attention to what I'm answering!
