gout
Dear Doctor.
i have had an operation to remove a large amount of uric aciid from one toe 6 days ago, i am told that the toe at this moment has 80% ciculation.
i ask if in your expert opinion if you think this could improve or amputation will be needed.
best regards.frank kent

Tophi surgery
I just had tophi removed from my 4th toe of my left foot about three weeks ago. But the toe is still as swollen as ever, only now it has a big stitch marks from top to bottom.
Also, I have been having gout attacks on my other part of my foot, including the other foot. Not sure if the medication (allopurinol) has anything to do with since it dissolves the build up and gets mix back in the blood stream.

Has anyone had this surgery and had this problem? I could really use some guidance and information.

Regards,
Don
