Hi, my sister had a masectomy in a neighboring state while our health insurance was being considered for approval, which has been approved now. The reason for this is because the doctor said it was a fast growing cancer and that time was the earliest possible, the next one would be a month away, and pertains many risks of spreading. Obviously, we couldnt be waiting on insurance any longer, and went ahead with surgery. A week later we got approval from Americhoice, but the coverage 'began' a few days later than the date of the operation.
When I contacted the hospital's billing, the agent said they would try everything to try to get health insurance to cover the bill (6000$~). I am wondering if this is a futile effort and not worth getting my hopes up.
