It also beats so fast that my heart feels "itchy" and that scares me. soo yea bacicially should i be put on some sort of treatment and do you think that this a supraventricular tachycardia or ventricular. also, should i be concerned anout the severity of it and can i do anything to help it when it is bad? tthank you very much

Heart Disease and Heart Attack Answer A4361
Discerning between supra-ventricular and ventricular tachycardia can be done only with an ECG. Ventricular tachycardia is a much more serious condition than the supra-ventricular one. There are several types of supra-ventricular tachycardia starting from the easiest one – sinus tachycardia. Other more serious types of supra-ventricular tachycardia are: atrial flatter, atrial fibrillation, “rambling pacemaker”, nodal supra-ventricular tachycardia, WPW-syndrome, etc.

Therapy depends upon the precise type of tachycardia.

You should consult a cardiologist for precise diagnosis of the tachycardia type and proper treatment.
