Last year I was told while looking at some stomach related issues that there was a tiny dot like hernia. The doc said it was so small that the tech looking at the cat scan didn't note it.

Recently I had X-rays done of the same area and again the doc said the dot was so small that it wasn't noted.

Should there be concern? I've always been told that if there is a hernia it will not get better and only get worse.

a dot hernia? with the chance of you developing chronic groin pain after the surgery, i would advise watchful waiting. if you don't know what that is, you can do a search for it. also, there are core strengthening exercises that may be beneficial to you to help avoid a surgery at this time. best of luck.

I guess I should clarify my situation. Had gall bladder surgery along with a small hernia repair behind my belly button.

The results from last year the doctor stated "It may be a tiny dot(hernia) but its so small the tech didnt note it".

This year as said above another doctor after me asking about it, said "yes there is a small dot but its so small that the chances are slim it would ever get big or be an issue".

I really dont want to make it worse or get surgery. Thank you for the information.
