Recently I went to Florida and everytime I sat out in the sun I got sun poisoning. I have a medium olive complexion so its not because I'm fair skinned and was wondering if my birth control pills cause be causing the sun poisoning.
If so is there any form of birth control besides condoms I can use that will not cause this?

Birth control pills can cause photosensitivity.
You could use the sponge, spermicide or a diaphragm. But these methods will not protect you from STDs unless you use a condom with them as well. I used VCF (Vaginal Contraceptive Film) and condoms years ago and they worked very well for me.
