Q: Sun exposure on medication

I am currently away on vacation and forgot the skin medication (Ammonium lactate cream) I was given was not supposed to be used in prolonged sun. I ended up burnt on my legs and feet (mostly everywhere I put the medication) and now my right foot is swollen and hurts when I walk on it. Is this the result of the medication and is it something I should be worried about? The skin feels very tender and hurts when I stretch my leg out. Is this worth getting paranoid about? Thanks
