Hello,
I experienced what I consider to be a severe and sudden reaction to sulfa, but my doctor tried to tell me I had avian flu or sars or something just as crazy at the time. The things is I'm convinced he's wrong and want a second opinion. I am presently allergic to penecillin, ammoxicillin, minocycline, and can be hypersensitive to erythromycin. When I took the sulfa the reaction was unlike anything I've experienced. I had no rash or swelling. What I did experience was severe joint pain. In fact even my skin hurt. It was painful just to touch my arm. I felt very fluish in the sense that I was achy and very tired and had a general, overall, sick feeling. My chest also felt tight but not in the same way it has when I've experience other allergic reactions with facial swelling and shock. The symptoms appeared pretty immediately after taking the medication and disappeared immediately after stopping. What do you think?
