Suicide Attempt, my mother confessed this morning

Suicide attempt help ! my mother this morning confessed to me this morning crying that last night she attempted to commit suicide on an over dose of sleeping pills but it didn't work . . . I was at lost for words sad i called 911 and the cops took her in my mom never thought about it before but lately shes been depress without a job and as well as not wanting to be with my father anymore how long will she be in the ward? At the Hospital after 72 hrs will they let her go if we say something ?? HELP please i feel so bad seeing my mom in there
