So I have been sexually active for a little more than a year now, on and off. I have never masterbated in my life until a couple months ago. I dated one guy and the sexual stuff was very good and he could get me very satisfied very easily, because we were extremely comfortable with each other. Then I went a long time with nothing, and now I am in a very stable relationship and we have started having sex regularly just recently. We are in love, but its the kind of love where I'm still afraid to do the wrong thing cause I don't want him to leave. I still kinda hesitant with everything, I can't just let loose. I have been close to orgasm with him, but haven't gotten fully there. But recently he went away for 3 weeks and I was particularly horny so I decided I was going to try and masturbate and make myself orgasm, because I wasn't sure if I had really ever gotten one before.

I did it, and I knew right then that was what I should feel, but I can't get there with my boyfriend unless he is just fingering me. I loose control and I am afraid. I got orgasm purely from clitoris stimulation and it was not very hard to reach my climax. I still have not came before and I feel like I can get more pleasure. So recently I have become addicted to masturbation. I am so determined to get more out of it each time. I think about it all the time, and have the urge to at random times. I have NEVER wanted to be "that girl that masturbates" but i am obsessed! I can't fall asleep without doing it ect. I was grossed out by the thought just months ago... Is it just because its new to me, and I am experimenting? Do I have a problem? Help. I can't stop, I enjoy it too much. Am I going to become a sex addict or something?

Coolie123, It sounds like you think that masturbation is wrong, or unnatural? Masturbation is natural and healthy. And as you discovered, fun, pleasurable, educational and a way to take up some of the sexual tension you experience. It even happens while you are in a relationship. Reasons why woman masturbate are for fun, to learn about their bodies and sexuality, to manage stress and to relax.

In moderation, it is good. Your body produce all sorts of good hormones that makes you feel happy and healthy when you orgasm. Research have shown that the more you orgasm, the more you want to orgasm. It is as if your body becomes addicted to these hormones. That is why couples that have a lot of sex will also often masturbate.

Many girls (and men/boys) will go through the phase where they cannot get enough and they are worried about addiction. It will certainly help if you find something else to draw your attention, a hobby or a sport or school work. The amount that you masturbate does however not make you a sex addict. Sex addiction is something totally different that just liking to orgasm and pleasing yourself.

When you are with him, find a position where you can rub your clitoris while he is inside you. You can even show him how you like to touch yourself so that he can learn from you. During sex, take his fingers and rub it over your clitoris.

Don't worry too much about addiction. It is normally a phase that will pass naturally.

Take care!
