First off, I'm 17. I have ADHD and take concerta every morning for it. The life time for concerta does not explain my symptoms however (since they usually occur far after the meds have worn off). Three or four times a year I will feel this "rush". It isn't an energy rush, but everything seems more extreme. My breathing feels labored when I'm breathing quietly. I stretch out a leg, it feels like I'm kicking it out. All movements I make seem rushed, but they're not. My thoughts are also rushed during these times. It lasts for 10-30 minutes before vanishing. I worry because bipolar (manic depression) is prevalent in my family. I know this isn't a manic episode, but I can't help but feel it is somehow related. Also, I'm now noticing, it is usually followed by a headache.
