I have had this problem for a couple months. When my husband and I have intercourse, doggie-style, right before I reach an orgasm, I sometimes get a "lightning" pain in my head...it is sudden and doesn't last long...also, my left upper arm and upper spine will give me a sudden jolt of a painful tingling sensation. I am wondering what this could be and if I need medical attention?
Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!
In all probability in certain positions you have an exaggerated vagal response. However, it would be wiser to get a gynecological examination to rule out any infection and get a PAP smear done. Hope this helps. Take care!
