My husband is 27. For the last 6 months he has had chronic diarrhea, once or twice a day. It just happened overnight, one day was fine, next day wasn't. It's accompanied with occasional stomach pains and cramping as well. He goes through rough periods where it really hurts him and he gets so nauseas that he can't eat anything but dry toast for days on end. At his first meeting with the doctor, he was given medication to kill off a *parasite*, as that's what he was thought to have....he felt better after a few days but it was very short-lived. He used to enjoy the odd beer here and there as well as putting chili sauce on a lot of his food and he can't do either of those things anymore because the next day his stomach really hurts and he gets diarrhea really bad.
He's tried staying away from dairy foods for 2 weeks, and it didn't really change anything. He's been exercising and eating healthier and although he's lost some weight doing that, he's problems just seems to be getting worse. The last few days he's been vomiting a few times as well. Went back to the doctor and he's had an ultrasound, but results aren't back yet. Could this maybe be an intestinal problem or something wrong with his bowels? Have you known of anything like this before?
