Sudden back pain feels more like my ribs

I hope you can help me i already made an appointment with a doctor but its in 2 days so i wondered if you could give me the reason and tips.
My name is vanessa and im 18,This morning I was walking to the bus stop with a friend when suddenly i felt a sharp pain in my upper back it was very suddenly didnt have any problems with my back, i think maybe it was the cold wind.
Its still a sharp pain whenever i move its mostly the middle part of my back but the thing is it does more feel like my ribs not back that is causing the pain.
