I am 25, and have never had acne. I occasionally get a couple of spots when under stress or during my period. I have however noticed a batch of small red spots on the right side of my face. I've had them for 3 weeks now. they are not raised. They look like what's left after spots have ripened and fallen off. I never picked them or played with them , but am worried they wont go away. I am not in a particular stressed out time , nor have i changed anything in my diet,so am very worried, as i wonder if there is a deeper underlying problem. The only thing that i have done differntly leading up to this is using facial masks twice a week. One was a clay type mask and the other was a pomagranite based peel off skin. Could this have caused such damage?

It is possible that the masks did cause the break-out. A lot of beauty products have stuff in them that will clog your pores. I would recommend only using products that specifically say "non-comedogenic" or "won't clog pores" ("oil free" isn't the same thing). It is also possible that you are allergic to the masks and that could be a rash, rather than pimples. In that case, try things labeled "hypoallergenic."

If the acne or rash doesn't go away in a week or two, go to your regular doctor or a dermatologist. I don't think it's anything serious, but you may need some medicated cream for the rash.
