My Grandmother just passed away from a massive stroke. She had recently been taken off Warfarin and I've read that Warfarin should be monitored very closely when you are taking it. But what about when you're taken off of it. She was taken off of it about a month ago and just passed three days ago. A follow-up appointment wasn't scheduled for three months after being off Warfarin to see how she was doing. Was that not good medical advice?

It looks like Warfarin can cause a lot of side effects and can be a problem if mixed with other drugs. I didn't find much information about being taken off Warfarin though. See if this website might help you: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginf o/meds/a682277.html
