Hi!

On occasion, I have a strange phenomena where suddenly, my the hearing of my left ear becomes distorted- my voice is heard only muffled and other sounds are metallic or the perception of their direction is off. This will be relieved if I lie down for a while. It is definitely not like regular muffled hearing after a plane ride.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Audiometery can be advised and the ears need to be examined. The nasal septum should also be examined for any DNS that may be interfering with eustachian tube opening and closing.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
