I've got chronic sinus infection. I tend to get them about every other month. This month I got one, 2 days later, woke up with a very sore ear. I now can't hear out of this ear. I went to the doctor, he looked at my throat (which was sore) and my ear. Then diagnosed ear infection, gave me amoxicillan (2x daily; 2, 500mg pills). He didn't even bother looking in my nose, which had since cleared up? Over the next 2 days my chest got worse, to the point where I was coughing up yellow stuff (tinted orange by the blood from my throat occasionally) and bright to dark green stuff, and wheezing when I breathe. I went back, he gave me an albuterol inhaler.

Now the stuff from my lungs has turned white, but I'm still wheezing (with and without the inhaler). And I'm blowing out murky green stuff. But what's confusing me is I'm also blowing out clear (which I thought meant healthy?), yellow (which means unhealthy?) stuff. Isn't that kind of a contradiction and what does it mean?

So your mucous is varying in color? Have you seen an ENT specialist? Or just a GP?

What's happening for you emotionally right now? Do you feel like you need to voice an opinion?

Ok, I don't understand that last part.

I'm still coughing up clear and white stuff now. Apparently it's something that's been going around town, my friend (who's sister and herself have both gone through it) described it as a combination of flu and pneumonia, with a long lasting persistent cough. I'm at the last part apparently, I can't wait for it to go. I've been coughing up stuff since March 1st.

My mom was diagnosed with pneumonia, but she had the flu aches and pains. We're pretty sure we had the same thing, as that's what usually happens, just reacted differently to it.

It's theorized that emotional disorders can bring about the inflammation of certain systems and organs in our body. So, I was asking if you're having trouble expressing yourself b/c maybe anger or hostility are at the root of the symptoms.

On another note, there are great cough expectorants with natural essential oils for clearing up lung issues. Are you using a cough syrup?
