I have had some weird symptoms which come and go for the last 3 weeks or so. I have been feeling a strange numbness or fullness in my sinus area and around my nose. Sometimes the back of my throat feels numb or strange, or my upper jaw/teeth feels pressure and achy. Sometimes the tip of my tongue feels numb and also numbness around my mouth. I dont have pain or headaches or a runny nose though it does feel a little phlegmy at times.
All these symptoms come and go - i may have just one, then nothing for a few days. Cant fathom it.
I hurt my neck a few weeks ago and it still feels like it needs to click, and grinds when i move it. Also i suffer from TMJ (jaw clicking/problems) plus i suffer anxiety. I think the anxiety may be causing some of my symptoms but not all - and i don't want to go to the doctor as i always seem to be in and out of there with odd 'feelings' like this which they say oh its just anxiety. Of course every time i google i think i have some kind of cancer or something horrible. Any ideas?

I went to see the doctor - he has no idea what this is. AT ALL. All he said was that the pattern of symptoms didn't ring any alarm bells and he didn't think it was anything sinister.
Has ANYONE had anything similar? Could this be an allergy maybe? I am fed up and still worried

I have these exact symptoms! It could even be that we aren't breathing properly (from the diaphragm) and that we aren't getting enough oxygen.

i took Dramamine a week ago, which gives me a numb feeling where the back of my throat meets that back of my nasal passage, but the feeling has continued on a daily basis all week. my other symptoms are nausea, hot spells, and sneezing fits. i am allergic to most everything environmentally, and also suffer from anxiety disorder. i just moved a month ago, so i have attributed everything up until now to allergens, but this numbness thing is new.

I also have been having the same problems. I have allergies and I recently caught a slight cold, but it didn't last long because I immediately started to drink ginger tea (which is known to kill the cold virus). But this strange sensation has persisted through my cold going away. I do sneeze a lot, I blow my nose a lot. Have no idea what it is or when it is going to go away. I hope it's nothing serious. I'm currently trying to get seen by a doctor for it.
