About three or four days ago (today is 3/5/11) -- I've lost count, as I was not paying much attention to it before today -- a strange mark appeared on my right middle finger. (picture below) Then a day or two later, a second, smaller mark appeared right next to the first one.

I didn't pay any attention to it, at first, because it didn't seem like anything important, but then this morning I looked in the mirror and saw two identical, longer marks of the same sort on each of my arms, in the exact same place on each arm. Pictures below.

Left arm: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5136/550023 9414_ca211aa70d_z.jpg

Is this something I should be concerned about??? Vitamin deficiency? Circulation problem? Blood sugar problem? Something serious?

Hi,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. Unfortunately the pictures could not be opened. However since the marks have been appearing and spreading, so any sort of dermatitis or fungal infections need to be ruled out. If the rashes are itchy, then scabies is another possibility which starts from the hand. Please describe the rash in detail so that a list of differentials can be made.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
