I'm 18 years old and I have been diagnosed with anorexia. I was a bit suprised with the diagnoses though because I'm not underweight. I've been struggling with this off and on since I was 7 years old. I'm 4 ft 11.5 and right now I've gone up to 105 pounds but my lowest so far has been 94 pounds. 2 years ago I was 150 pounds. I went down to 120 in 2 months and after those two months went down to 113 and a month later down to 105. um.... my Doctor has admited me into a clinic. But I'm really embarassed that I'm suposedly " annorexic" and really fat. I have some concerns though. Latley I have been even more dizzy and getting black out's then usual. I toom my blood preasure and it was systolic : 114 and dystolic : 55 . I also have been getting worse and worse chest pain exspecially when doing cardi. Is this a significant concern or symptom? or is it nothing to worry about?I have also not had my period in 3 months even though I'm at my " higher weight" why is this happening even though I'm doing better? thanks so much for reading being wiling to answer I really appreciate it and hope you have an awsome day .

okie doke. so ill start with Hey! my name is katie, im 18 too and i suffer from bulimia, im proud of you for getting up to 105! that is great, belevie me it is because it sounds like your on your way to being healthier- we all know 94 pounds is ridiculous.
do you do any vomiting? because sometimes that can put alot of strain on your heart, and i would say the black outs are from no sugar being able to get to your brain. do you realize your body NEEDS calories to function? if you deprive yourself of the nutrients and calories your body needs, your body wont have anything to run on- which is why your dizzy.
i hate to sound like a mother, but think of your body as a car. without any gas in the tank(your belly), the engine isnt going to have any way of starting it self up. without the oil(nutrients), the car is going to sputter around making all kinds of clanky sounds and trying desperately to work. this sounds like "if there is no gas in there its going to have to use what it has[the fat] to make itself go!" but NO this isnt the case, cause your body is going to start eating the the energy stored inyour muscles and in your brain, its starving itself and eventually becomes fatal.
candio=not smart when you dont have food in there!
did you know that AFTER you work out is the best time to eat carbs like pasta? your body is going to use this to make muscle with it[unless you eat a mountain of it] but it is best cause right then, your metabolism is boosted so it can just use up the calories it needs and put the rest to waste.
without the gas, the car is not going to work.

remember that. <3
