Q: Stopped nuva ring & period problems

my last period while on nuva ring started on feb. 28. It was a normal period for me. Then I decided I wanted to stop using it and took the ring out on March 8th. I then started my period again on March 13th and it is just like a normal period I think, just lots of stretchy mucus with it. I pretty sure I am having this period because my body is adjusting to being without the birthcontrol. So since Im already having another period so soon, does this mean that my ovulation will return after my period? Sorry its so long im just curious. Thank you

Not true. Birth control stops the process of ovulation. A period is from the build-up of blood and tissue in the uterus in anticipation of fertilization, and still continues whether there is an egg or not. Ovulation should regulate within 1-2 months of stopping birth control, but depending on age can take up to 6 months.
