Q: Stopped birth control - no period

Hi,

I stopped taking my birth control pills at the end of the pack at the end of January 2009, and had my normal withdrawal period beginning Feb. 4, 2009. Since that time, I have had no signs of a period. I am pretty sure I have not had sex (only made out with one person one time), and have taken 11 hpt's, all of which have been negative. Any insight/ideas as to what may be going on? Thank you!

Your hormones have not returned to their normal levels. When a woman goes on or off hormonal birth control her periods may be irregular- late, early, last too long, too short, spotting between periods... Give it time. If your normal periods have not resumed by May, you should talk to your gynecologist.
