So I started Ortho Tri-cyclen less than a month ago and I noticed that I was gaining some weight, so I stopped taking it about a week ago when I had maybe a week and a few days left.
I just got my period and it sucks.
I talked to my sister and she said that sometimes when you start birthcontrols they make you gain weight but it eventually evens out? (Is this true?)
Also, what should I do now?
Should I start a new pack after my period is over?
Should I just take the pills that I missed and hope that my period will go away?

I'm sorta confused as to what I should do now.
Any help would be greatly apreciated! Smile
Thanks

Birth control pills affect your appetite.

Just watch your portion size, eat healthy snacks, and exercise and you shouldn't gain weight.

I'd just wait until your period is over then start taking your pills again, but you could do whichever you'd like. Just remember you're not protected until after a week of perfect use.

Also, you may have a bit of spotting your next pack, but just keep taking your pills-- most side effects go away within 3 months. Smile
