I recently stopped taking birth control about 3 weeks ago and had sex today with a condom. I haven\\\\\\\'t had a period yet and last time I stopped taking birth control it took over 3 months for me to have a period again. I\\\\\\\'m a slightly paranoid person...d o you think I could be pregnant at all even if there hasn\\\\\\\'t been any signs of ovulation yet?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The ovulation day after stopping with hormonal birth control pills cannot be predicted accurately. If you had post-pill amenorrhea last time, chances are that you might experience it again (depending on type and duration of the hormonal contraceptive used). If you do not get your periods within 30 -45 days of stopping with your birth control use, consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation to look for the underlying cause. If pregnancy is suspected, go ahead with getting blood HCG test done to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately. Treatment as appropriate would be started based on examination and investigation results to help you. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring of your treating doctor/gynecologist. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
