Hi, all. As I'm sure many of you know, last year a life-saving asthma medication called Primatene Mist was pulled off the market by the federal government on the basis that its use as a life-saving asthma medication did not justify its use CFC-based propellants, which deplete the ozone layer. Of course, it's worth noting that there are untold thousands of industrial (non-medical) products which emit CFCs in much greater quantities that have yet to be outlawed.
I've had asthma for as long as I can remember, and Primatene has been one of a handful of inhalers that have proven effective for me. If you'd like the FDA to at least a second look at this situation, please consider signing this petition and passing it along to someone you know who might be interested.
