I was told I have large stone in gallbladder after having a CT scan 2 months ago but I had my gallbladder removed in 1996 my doctor has refered me to a specialist as urgent but not seeing her for another 2 weeks, if anyone could shed light on this for me I would be grateful has I'm trying not to worry about it but I can't help it. What else could it be. Thank you

Unfortunately, the area where the gallbladder is lcoated is not always well visualized on CT scans. There are several possible causes for a "calcification" in the area where the gallbladder used to be (most of them are benign).

As I am not involved in your care, and as I cannot review your CT scans, your best bet is to see a GI specialist for further evaluation.

I've now been to see consultant and he said after talking to radiographer they both decided there is nothing there, I'm still getting pain which he now said could be muscular. I'm due to have an endoscopy on the 22nd October due to constant nausea and a blood test to check my liver function.
