For about 4 to 5 days now i have felt really bad. i have had stomach pain and bad stomach aches, diarrhea and neasea, and really foul smelling gas and bowl movents. Would this be attributed to a stomach virus? What should i do to help this then? Taking an anti diarrhea medicine, drinking plenty of water and resting, would that help, because im thinking that The doctors really could do much for a stomach virus they would tell me to do what im already doing right?

Actually, anti-diarrhea medicine is not precribed for cases of diarrhea. Diarrhea is a way of cleaning toxins and bacteria from the body. IF you take an anti-diarrheal, you're actually blocking this cleaning process. I lived in Africa for a couple of years, and encountered dysentry and other bacterial stomachn and digestive infections (parasites, ghardia, etc.) and NOT ONCE did doctors prescribe Immodium AD or something similar.

The only way to get a true diagnosis is to request a stool sample. This way, there is no guesswork, and your bowel movement get examined under the microscope for the presence of troubling guests. doctor
