My daughter in law has went to a lot of different doctors and they have run all kinds of tests and some have even went so far as to do surgery. None of them seem to know what causes this. She will be sitting there completely normal and within minutes her stomach will swell the size of a soccer ball. It can swell on the right side, left side, or center. This last time a doctor did surgery to repair previous surgery scar tissue. It did no good. Now the doctors have her on a 10 day liquid diet. She has a lot of stomach pain with diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea. She is really thin and has always been slim. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?
