Q: Stomach pain
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 5th, 2008
I have been having stomach pains and cramping every morning and periodically throughout the day. Every time I eat, the pains become worse, so I can't really eat that much without being in pain. Help?!

Stomach Cancer Answer A4230
Stomach pain, mostly in the morning, that becomes worse after eating, is very indicative of a stomach disorder like gastritis or a peptic ulcer. You have a Helicobacter pillory serology performed. If the result is positive and symptoms last a lot longer than a month you can start with therapy for eradication and a proton pump inhibitor. If the pain is intolerant or lasts longer than a month you can request an upper endoscopy (gastroscopy).

You should consult your primary health provider first.
