Q: stomach itchy circles

My husband has shingles last year. All symptons went away. But now he gets 2 red circles on his stomache, rather large, every so often. They itch and are worrisome. Does anyone know what this is?

Does he have contact dermatitis? My daughter has a nickle allergy and always get a itchy rash on her stomach. The dermatologist said it is from the nickle on her pants. As far as I know with shingles, they can appear at times of stress. My aunt gets them back everytime she is stressed out.
