I went to the dr for hemmorrhoid symptoms (itchy, painful, and bloody stool) I had a little bit of constipation before, but I never have a regular bm schedule. The dr couldn't find hemmoroids, so just prescribed pain meds and something for spasms. Now I am having diarrhea... already four times today and I only ate a sandwich. PLEASE HELP... what could be causing all of this. My stomach cramps almost on a daily basis.

I don't know what could be causing your stomach to cramp so much. How long has this been going on? & you need to eat more than a sandwich & drink more fluids (water), you can have diarrhea from dehydration. My sister has ulcerative colitis and she sometimes has bloody stools ans severe cramping. Have you had a colonoscopy? That could help, unless if your symptoms are on the outside.

I have not had any tests done yet. I have an appointment for a barium enema next month (soonest one they had), but other than that... the symptoms are inside. The dr did an exam and found nothing to be on the outside, so now i am just trying to patiently wait for the specialist apt, which isnt any when having so much difficulty. I have been drinking lots of water, but when you are running to the bathroom all day sick, its hard to think about eating. I will keep that in mind though and try to eat more. Thank you for your response.
