My husband and I just started trying to get pregnant. I have been having stomach cramps for about 3 days now. I started feeling the cramps Sunday when we were eating dinner and we had to leave the restaurant we were at because I couldn't eat anymore due to this pain. All day Monday I have been feeling major pains again. When I woke up today the pain was worse where I was actually crying because it hurt.

I read online that this could be a sign of pregnancy. I had my period about 2 weeks ago and the next one isn't for another 2 weeks. We have been trying since my period.

Does this mean I could be pregnant?

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

Stomach cramps around 2 weeks after your last period could indicate ovulation time and this is the time you should try to conceive. However, if the cramps are so severe, it could either indicate multiple ovulations (if you are taking any medicine) or it could be due to irritable bowels.

If the cramps are due to ovulation they will settle down once you ovulate. If not, they may persist. Please consult a doctor then. Hope this helps. Take care!
