What does it mean when your stomach appears on the HIDA scan for your gallbladder?

In most cases, it doesn't mean much, as the radioactive tracer material used in this test is expelled from the bile ducts, and into the first part of the intestine (the duodenum). This tracer material can then easily reflux up into the adjacent stomach.
