When I had mine they used staples...Scared the dickens out of me...I think they took them out before I went home...I was stitched from the navel to the crack of my crotch...I think the redness stays for a while..Real normal...I really think you are doing great...Just don't expect to feel great right away...Takes time...But you will love it...This new freedom can blow your mind...Good luck...

me also
I had a total( uterus & cervix) hysterestomy 15 days ago, and I feel quite well. Walk a lot. The most unconfortable posture is sitting down straight. I had it done on a Wednesday and Saturday afternoon been discharged( pretty soon?). I am taking care of myself since then without anybody around. Family abroad and boyfriend also far... I feel another woman. Really strong minded and also my energy is comming back, but slowly..I am seeing the surgeon in three days. Anything I should tell or ask him?. My suture was reabsovible, so I see it like is healing ok. Ah yes, I have a big question: Anybody knows how many stiches is there inside, I would love to know what does it look like inside.. My cut was vertical, from the belly bottom to further down the bikini line..big eh?... but sexy!. Kisses to everybody and be strong!
