Hello; a few days ago I started to have some vague discomfort. Two nights ago, however, it started to noticeably sting when I urinated. For the last two days, the initial sting when I begin to urinate has been extremely painful.

I don't have a frequent urge to go (went 4 times yesterday) and there is no discharge. Also the pain is only at the very tip of my penis. So although I'm sexually active, it doesn't seem to match up with symptoms of gonorrhea.

What would cause an intense stinging in only the tip of my penis and only when I urinate? The only thing I can think of is that I distinctly remember on Saturday that I was rubbing uncomfortably against my boxer shorts while on a long walk during the day. Could this have caused some kind of irritation?
