Hi Doctor,

I gave birth to a stillborn 2 weeks ago at full term. They are still confused about what was the cause of my angels death.
She was a little healthy baby that had no illnesses.i want to know what some causes of the stillbirth.
About trying again can u tell me when i can start again, do i need to take any medication or do i just keep trying?
If I got stiches about how long will it take to heal?

Thank you,
Sue

I delivered a stillborn at 32w2d, it will be a year ago in 6 days. There was no cause of death found after having an autopsy done. We have waited to TTC again till just now. We have waited b/c my DH wanted to wait. I would wait for an autopsy report to come back first to see if they know what happened so you can know if there is anything to do to prevent it next time. I had a c-section and was told I needed to wait 3 months before trying again. I'm sure all doctors have different opinions about that though. Good luck to you when you try again.

Btw, I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is. If you ever want to talk, feel free. I'm not here often, I pop in once in a blue moon. You can find me at my blog though.

I have also lost my daughter who was still born, i didnot allow a postmortem so the only reason they give me was that my blood has sticky substance in it, in other words clotted. The truth is to me that i was 41 weeks pregnant and i was too far gone i shud of been induced before.
I am so sorry for your loss and i know there isnt any words that can make you feel better, the doctor has said that they will put me on asprin straight away and scan me regularly and then bring me in at 38 weeks and offer a c section, i am 39 years old now and still trying.
take care
