Hiya, your body will change after having children. It is very early days for you so give yourself time. ( months to get that big 9 months to get your body back. I was a size 6 before my first child and went to a size 14, I was horrified. I stayed at a 14 for a while then went to a 12. I then had my second child and went to a 16! I felt horrible, but it lasted only 3 months then I was back to a 14 again. Now after my third child I am a 10 to 12, my hips are wider and I would look terrible if I was a size 6 now. Yes I have a baby belly and could do with toning up a bit. But know with a little effort my body would be fine.

Please don't worry, 5 weeks is by no means a time to worry about your weight or body shape. You have done really well, and by the sounds of it you will get back to shape in no time.

Take care and congratulations

I honestly felt the same as you, all my life I was skinny and a size 6 until my first at 21. Honest you are normal and a bloated belly is normal after having a baby. It will decrease I promise. No one will ever have a perfect body after having a baby. But it is only 5 weeks and truly you have no need to worry at this stage. I felt all those feelings you say you are having. These are so normal. The doctor will put your mind at rest. I too bloated out in the last month or so of my pregnacy. I wish you well and if you need to talk that fine just let me know Smile

I, too, am was in the same boat...fat and disgusted with myself 6 weeks postpartum! I was not losing so i had to start running and really watching my carb and sugar intake. I was stuck at 135 lbs and after 4 weeks of running and watching my diet i am now 125 lbs...i still have 8-10 lbs to go Sad It is a very slow process, exercise if you can and if you can't put yourself on a strict diet until you reach your goal. 2 pounds per week is considered safe and healthy. For 2 days eat only protein and veggies...but only for 2 days as it is not healthy to do it for longer. Then cut out bread, pasta, and sugary foods. If you have a big appetite try eating cucumber or celery before a meal...oh and drink a full glass of water too. Hope this helps, i used to work at a weight loss centre as a counsellor.
