I all I'm hoping someone can help me out - I'm new to gallbladder problems. I had an attach almost a month ago - in retrospect I'd been having them for a few years and always thought they were heartburn - but this one was so severe and so obviously not heartburn that I saw my doctor. I had an ultrasound done and have two large stones (1.5cm). I'm meeting with a surgeon soon about removal.

I've been in various states of discomfort for ever since - I'm eating low to no fat and not eating much at all. A lot of cereal (with skim milk). Yet I'm still sore. I woke up sore today - which is unusual. I have pain medication that I can take - but I can't find a lot of literature on the 'net about this kind of constant pain after a single attack. Anyone else experience this?

Hey - we twins - had my first (think) gallstone attack early December -

I also had continuing pain - though initially all seemed to settle down - then had constant pain bra strap level both sides of my back. I was also on a fat free diet - but developed more pains in my tummy which were exruciating - they ususally happened two hours after I had eaten - my tummy would get uncomfortable and feel swollen - then acute pain right in the middle which then moved to the side and down towards the right. I also had all kinds of very sharp pains like a stitch under my ribs

It got so bad - I went back to the Docs - and he diagnosed me with an ulcer as well !!! So have some tabs and over the last few days it has settled down a bit - though - not sure wot to eat now !!!

Back to see Docs tomorrow and ultra sound soon - thing is - I kind of presumed all my pain was from the gallbladder - when in fact it would appear it was completely diferent.

Am not trying to frighten you - but - be aware - something else might be going on too - like me - if it hurts - see someone - also - they need to know about it too.

I am feeling just a tad battered - this is a lady who never once had any kind of indegestion or heartburn or any gastric symptoms -

I hope you get it sorted soon -every best wish. Lindy
