My boyfriend and i are not that sexually active.

i was on Yaz for 3 years and got of it. normally i had my period during the placebo pills but this time i did not... on top of that.. we had sex once.. but he still wore a condom and did not cum in me.....

I still have not had my period and its been almost 2 months since my last birth control pill..

the condom did not rip or have any holes in it i know for a fact...

i'm worried.. what could be going on>

So after three years of Yaz, you stopped taking them and when you should have gotten your period after the last pack you didn't and still haven't?

Was there a reason you stopped taking the pill?

Sometimes birth control hides the onset of a few hormonal problems that can occur in women-- again, it doesn't cause it, but hides it.

You might want to scoot over to your doctor to make sure everything is normal; however it is common for women to have odd periods for up to 3 months after stopping the pill.

You can take a pregnancy test if you're worried otherwise.

Either way, its worth seeing your doctor about.

Don't worry about it. It's not their business and I'm sure they see plenty of people getting pregnancy tests.

Some women don't get their periods right away, but normally should within the 3 months after stopping the pill. I've read that its not really something to see your doctor about until 6 months without a period, but its up to you.

Did you start birth control to regulate your period or were you always regular before?

PLEASe help and let me know if u SHOULD start a new pack Or WAIT?

I was on yaz and I was told that even if you don't get your period right when you should start the sugar pills that it's ok. You've only been on it for a month and when i first started i didn't get my period until 2 days after i started the next pack.

Start the next pack when you should and your period should come soon. If it stil doesn't come, talk to your doctor.

Usually your doctor will suggest you start taking birth control the first Sunday after your period begins, or on a Sunday if your period starts on a Sunday. You don't take the pill if you are trying to get pegnant, but you said you have been trying to conceive? for 4 years? is that right? Well I think you are a little young, and I mean no offence by this, but you seriously can do so many things and create so many life experiences for YOU before you have children. Are you sure you want to be with your boyfrien forever? I am sure he is a good person, but just make sure you are able to give your child the best life and stability to raise them level-headed and in a positive environment as possible (:

Stopped Yaz and no period, but same symptoms
I just recently stopped Yaz and had one period almost immediately, but it took a little while longer to get going and to finish. It's been about a month since then and I'm due for another period but it hasn't happened yet. But here's the weird part, I'm having all my normal PMS symptoms, even a discharge that feels like bleeding-but no blood!
I don't think I'm pregnant, but i don't know if taking a test would help or hurt the situation. Thoughts?? Anyone else experience this?

No period after finishing Seasonique
I have the SAME thing going on. Except I am on Seasonique. Its been 4 days since my period usually starts when I''m on birth control. I''m getting a little crampy, discharge and ridiculous bloating. ughh! but nothing else. Took a pregnancy test and it was negative... I don''t know if you can get a false negative?? so I''m going to wait another week and then see my doctor. Its been like a month since you posted that... did you figure out what was going on?

I got my period (finally) after about 2 weeks of symptoms but no blood. I''ve since switched pills to Kariva and love it! Every thing has been regular since then.

Periods after quitting Yaz
I had been taking Yaz for two years then quit taking it two months ago because I heard it was a dangerous pill. I finished my last pack and instead of 4 weeks for my next period it took five weeks. I still havent gotten my next period after that one and its been over six weeks. So im thinking that its due to Yaz and should go back to normal eventually

I stopped taking yaz a year ago and have had four periods since then. The last one was in August and I haven't been sexually active since June, so I know it's not pregnancy.

I didn't have many periods on yaz (which my doctor said was fine) but it's starting to weird me out and I'm now in a foreign country and so can't see the gyn I had while taking the pills.

No period after quitting Yaz (:
I too stopped taking Yaz after 3 years (well, 6mos of Yasmin, 2.5 years of Yaz) and I too have no period and I stopped taking it on December 6th after my boyfriend was all freaked out about "blood clots" being in the news.

I talked to my doctor and she said you have a greater chance of getting blood clots from being pregnant or going through menopause than you do of taking birth control pills and she is so perplexed why they are getting such bad reviews in the media.

Anyway, it is now February 7th and I still have not gotten my period since I stopped birth control but I have taken 3 pregnancy tests- including one yesterday and my doctor isn't concerned. She just wants me to start the new birth control the Sunday of the week that I finally get my period. I was never all too regular before and she isn't worried so I am not either. I hope this helps (:

weird periods after going off YAZ
I have been on about 5 different birth control for the past year and a half. i kept switching because of the terrible side effects they all caused. so i recently decided birth control was not for me and stopped talking Yaz in November, i had one period right away and then slight bleeding the next month, but nothing since then. i keep feeling like im about to get my period, but nothing. im too scared to take a HPT because im only 18. im just wondering if this is normal?? i've been researching it constantly hoping to find someone in the same situation, i've read that it takes a while to get hormone levels back to normal? but im still very scared, please help

Missed period and Freaked out too!!
I've always had a normal period about every 29 days. Yaz was prescribed to me for PMDD and it's helped tremendously. But, I missed a few pills and completely stopped taking Yaz about mid January and had unprotected sex on the same day I should have normally started my period (feb 7). I never did bleed and now it's 12 days since and Im concerned. I never wanted my period to start so badly in my life!! I don't think Im pregnant, but it's definitely a possibility. Im also really concerned about my hormones being all screwy now. I have some nipple tenderness, which is normal for my cycle, but i read it's also a symptom of pregnancy... so that doesn't help Sad I also have a little pelvic pain, and a little discharge, (again also normal for my cycle).

I took 2 pee tests last week and both came back negative, but I think they were too early to tell for sure. I've been trying natural remedies to try to jumpstart, balance, and induce my menstrual cycle... I hope it comes soon. So, my question is.... How soon is a home pregnancy test reliable??

Also, please spare me the lecture about protection... trust me, I know the enormity of my mistake!!! Thanks for any advice..

1 month 1 month...Now what?
I only took Yaz for a month (one whole pack) and then stopped. It has been a month since I stopped, and I should have started my period by now, but I haven't. While on the pill I had sex a few times, but it was all protected (condom). How long could it be before I get my period back (since I only took it for a month!)? Is it possible that I'm pregnant?

Can short term use of Yaz also irregulate your period??
Hi, I too was only on Yaz for a short time (2 months). 2 days after I stopped taking any pills, I had a period. Now it has been 35 days since that period, and still nothing. 12 days ago it felt like I was having PMS symptoms, but now I dont feel any of them at all. Is it common for the birth control pill to irregulate your periods, even after only being on it a short time???

Update; after 16mos. of amenorrhea my period finally came back. I took iron pills for a couple weeks, and normalized my eating habits. Hopefully it won't take long to become regular.
