I just want to know if I can still be ovulating each month and can i still conceive. I have had only one missed period in the last year. although when i do get my period, sometimes it is a few days later then my last period and sometimes a week later then my last period.

Just so you know, a woman at age 40 has a 1/16 chance of conceiving a child with down syndrome. I am sure 50 is much, much higher.
