I've seen two doctors and they tell me the easiest way to have one is to go through my already existing c-section scar on my bikini line. They then preceded to scare me by telling me about early menopause, estrogen pills and mood changes. I have had my tubes tied and have found happiness in fitness. During my menstral cycle I have to use pads and tampons(heavyduty)and still bleed through. Anyone have any advice?

Hello,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. You seem to be having the symptoms of metrorrhagia(heavy periods).Various factors causing it are endometriosis, ectopic pregnancy, hormone imbalance, endometrial hyperplasia, polyps, sexually transmitted diseases, PCOS and benign and malignant pathologies of the uterus.

You’ll need tests like an USG of the uterus and pelvis and possibly an endometrial biopsy along with hormone levels assessment to ascertain the cause of the same. Once the cause is identified then we can plan whether you need a hysterctomy or not.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
