i woke up this morning with a stiff neck, sore and swollen throat. what could this be?

Sore and swollen throat indicates a possible upper respiratory tract infection with associated general malaise which can cause some stiffness of the neck and body aches. It could just be a non specific viral upper respiratory tract infection. Thank you
