Q: 8 stents and problems understanding

90 year old female has 8 cardiovascular stents and has problems understanding, but not hearing, speech on TV or radio. She says she doesn't understand what is being said because it is muffled.

She has heard similar symptoms from other patients with stents.

Cardiovascular stents are not connected with her "understanding difficulties". She might have hearing difficulties or she might be senile.
You can consult some ENT-specialist first and if hearing is OK then you can consult some neurologist.
