Unfortunately, I recently picked up Chlymiddia.. I've been to the clinic and had the anti-biotics.. Would it've affected the course of the anti-biotics if i drank alcohol 8 hours after the tablets were taken? Please get back to me as some symptoms still are present.
Thankies Embarassed

Which antibiotic you were prescribed?
Have you avoid sexual contacts until the treatment was completed?

Alcohol may increase the excretion rate or slow down the rate antibiotics are broken down.

antibiotics was Azithromycin.. Haven't touched anyone since. However i'm still a bit weary, Will alcohol have prevented the anti-biotics from running its full course?

Avoid sex for one week after treatment with azithromycin and make follow up with retesting for chlamydia.
As I wrote in my previous post,"Alcohol may increase the excretion rate or slow down the rate antibiotics are broken down", alcohol can affect the way the antibiotic is processed in body, leading to lower effect.

You can retest yourself 2 or 4 weeks after completed antibiotic therapy.
