STD tests aren't the same for everyone. If you're sexually active, you'll need a PAP smear at minimum. You may also be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia (same test). If you test positive for either of these diseases or if you request it, they'll call you back and test you for Syphilis, hepatitis and HIV. If you like, you can also request the HPV DNA test for evidence of both low-risk types of HPV (cold sores and genital warts)...talk this over with your doc! That about covers it, I think. Alot of times you cannot request the dna hpv test unless you have reason to believe you are infected with hpv such as visible bumps (warts) or abnormal paps. I guess it depends on your insurance/clinic.
